This current season I’m in is one of great newness and adventure. Stepping into a new role as an outreach leader has been an incredible opportunity. In just two weeks, my friend and co-leader, Cole, and I get to lead this amazing group of seven students to the Himalayan villages of Nepal!

We will be there for ten weeks working with three different contacts in Kathmandu and other areas and villages of Nepal. For a large portion of the trip we will be hiking to villages and trekking through the Himalayan mountains to show people the love and joy of Jesus! We’ll be doing lots of kids ministry, building relationship with the villagers, encouraging local ministries, and whatever else God brings! I’ll have more details as the trip begins 🙂

To prepare for this trip we have been having weekly small groups and team times, as well as team work outs! Small group is my favourite and a time for me to hang out with the girls on my team and get to know them better! I am incredibly thankful for the girls on this team! We’ve grown together so much as a family and they have honestly blown away my expectations and ideals – I love em a lot! Our team times are when we get to bond together as an entire team. To prepare for the teachings we will be doing on outreach, each week during team time a student has been giving a 15-20min mini sermon or teaching. It’s been amazing to see them step out in this as public speaking is often a new experience. We’ve also been getting to practice the skits and dances we’ll be doing, encourage one another, laugh, have fun, and pour into each other’s lives.

These students truly are an answer to Cole and I’s prayers for our team. They have a boldness and courageousness to do whatever God is calling them to, they have willing and servant hearts to do whatever it takes to serve God and people, and they’re a super fun group of people to be around!

If you would like to partner with me in this mission to Nepal, I’m still in need of $500 CAD to cover general ministry and living expenses while in Nepal. If contributing to this mission is something you’d like to do, you can donate here. Most importantly however, I so appreciate your partnership in prayer over this trip.

Prayer requests:

  • leadership wisdom, unity, and direction for Cole and I as we both lead a team for the first time
  • a strong family and unified dynamic amongst the team
  • no sickness!!! health and energy throughout the entire outreach
  • pray that we would all be seeking Jesus in every moment and getting his heart for this outreach and country

I’ll be in villages without wifi for the majority of the ten weeks however I’ll update as much as I can when I can 🙂
